The School Church

After the incredible ‘HOLD FAST’ women’s gathering last Saturday, we were blessed with over a hundred children visiting us the next day. On typical Sunday mornings, we teach the kids living at Soar Kenya’s Boarding School. Jeroge and some of our youth travel about two miles up the hill to the school, where the children are eager to hear about the Kingdom of God.

But on this particular weekend, they came to us.

Jeroge took his piki piki (motorcycle) to school this Sunday and led the students to Windy Hill Christian Community.

After stopping at our house for pictures, they marched to the pavilion, where they would spend the next three hours singing and listening to stories of the Kingdom.

My dear wife, Haviylah, was resting that morning and couldn’t come to the pavilion. When the kids heard that, they asked if she would come to the veranda and wave to them before they left. They then asked me to come down and take a few more pictures. I was already in my 'take a nap' clothes but came down anyway.

Over the last year, we have seen many conversions, baptisms, and fundamental changes in some of their lives. We love calling their gatherings … the school church, as in the phrase home church. We are honored and blessed to be able to help guide these young lives.

The stories we tell them of the Kingdom are not just from 2000 years ago or 12 thousand miles away but include Kingdom life stories that are still being manifested two miles down the hill from them.

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us— that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full. 1JN1:4

We want to give our readers a chance to be blessed in sharing this work. Something powerful is beginning with our members. Fewer ask us to meet their needs anymore, having learned that our Father will supply everything needed to do His will. They desire to strengthen one another and reach out to those whom the great harlot has deceived.

May our Father lead you to help us ... help them.
